Farm To School
The State Department of Education, Child Nutrition Programs and the Idaho Department of Agriculture supports Farm to School Programs in the State of Idaho. Farm to School Programs are growing in Idaho, several schools throughout the state participate in this program. These programs connect schools with local farms with the objectives of serving healthy meals in school cafeterias, improving student nutrition, providing health and nutrition education opportunities that will last a lifetime, and supporting local small farmers.

Example of what schools are doing with local foods.
