Teachers: Please read this page aloud to the students.

·         You have ninety (90) minutes to write.

·         Remember that expository writing explains.

·         Think carefully about what you are going to write. Use scratch paper to list and to organize ideas before you begin writing your rough draft.

·         Use standard English, not e-mail abbreviations (LOL, TX, @).

·         You are limited to the front and back of one response form for the final draft.

·         Use a Black Ballpoint Pen for your final draft.

·         Use your best handwriting.

·         When you have finished your paper, reread it to make sure that you have said what you want to say.

·         Do not use “White Out”. Draw a line through any errors and rewrite.

·         You may use a classroom dictionary or thesaurus.

·         Reread your paper one final time.

·         Do your best.
