Idaho Service Provider Applications will be accepted by the State Department of Education at any time. Please allow approximately two weeks (or ten work days) for courses to be visible on the site from when the electronic application is received. Approval, review, and rating of curriculum is not required as quality is the responsibility of the originating district's school board or local education agency (LEA).
The application, once it is made available in Fall 2014, will contain two parts: application for provider status and information which will be used by Idaho State Department of Education (SDE) in the course approval process.
Provider Approval - Outside Service Provider applicants must complete and submit the Application Form for approval, while Idaho Service Provider complete an IRP Request. Provider approval is based upon Section 33-1627 (2) of Idaho Code.
Course Approval - Course approval is based upon the process outlined in the pending Idaho State Board of Education Rule.
Course Review Fees - There is NOT a course review fee for an Idaho Service Provider. Details on the review fee for an Outside Service Provider will be forthcoming.
For Idaho Service Providers, please allow approximately two weeks (or ten work days) for courses to be visible on the site from when the electronic application is received. Applications for an Idaho Service Provider can be sent in at any time and will be processed as soon as possible to be listed on the site. Submitted applications must be accompanied by both Course Instructor List and Course List Form.

The information requested on the cover page must be completed and submitted with the application. It must include an original signature of a person within the Provider that can make assurances and commitments on behalf of the organization. The name and telephone number of a contact person must be provided. The designated contact person will be the sole source of communication with the Idaho State Department of Education (SDE) regarding any questions it may have pertaining to the application. If the contact person changes, the Provider must notify SDE within 30 days.
The following course titles are considered protected as they are specified by the Idaho State Board of Education as graduation requirements. Courses may only carry these titles if they match Idaho Core State Content Standards.
