School Garden Grant Opportunity

The Idaho Department of Education, Division of Child Nutrition Programs is offering grants to provide funding to Idaho's public and private schools and childcare centers to implement a hands-on educational garden program. The program will enhance nutrition education and classroom curriculum and will increase Idaho's youths' understanding and awareness of foods and nutrition.

A total of $30,000 is available to Idaho Schools and Childcare organizations. Grants in the amount of $2,000 will be awarded to ten (10) Public or Private Schools and five (5) Childcare organizations. Applications must be submitted by March 1, 2013.
