Transitioning to Common Core: Preparing Idaho's Students for College and Career Readiness

presented by Idaho State Department of Education, Boise State Writing Project, and Northwest Inland Writing Project

This workshop is designed for building/district teams ranging from grades K-12. This three day workshop will include CCSS lesson and unit planning, curriculum realignments and a preview of the new Smarter Balanced assessments. The central goal of this workshop will be to assist your team in developing the tools and knowledge base required to guide your school/district to a strong implementation of the CCSS.

Attendance: Each team of four drawn from the following:

English Language Arts/Reading teacher from building/district
Administrator from building/district
Instructional Coach from building/district
Curriculum Coordinators from district
Teacher from other content area from building/district . . . Social Studies, Science, Math, Health, PE, PTE, etc . . .
