AIMSweb is a formative assessment system that informs the teaching and learning process by providing continuous student performance data and reporting improvement to teachers, administrators, and parents to enable evidence-based evaluation and data-driven instruction. AIMSweb utilizes Curriculum-Based Measurement (CBM), an approved and standardized assessment practice based on over 25 years of scientific research. The AIMSweb system provides CBM testing materials for reading, math, and written expression as well as a data system that allows the user to generate graphs and show learning rate over time. The AIMSweb system will allow the frequent monitoring of students who are at-risk for academic failure or currently below grade level by using general outcome measures in any of these areas. This system allows educators to determine if the current curriculum and instruction of core programs or interventions is having the intended effect on student progress. More information on the AIMSweb program is available from www.AIMSweb.com.
