Federal Government Reverses Decision, Restores Funding for Idaho Community Schools

(BOISE) – The U.S. Department of Education announced today that the federal grant program supporting essential staff in Idaho’s community schools will continue, reversing a previous decision that had deemed the program ineligible for funding based on its perceived alignment with diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

Idaho Department of Education Announces Winners of the 2025 Holiday Card Contest

Two student artists have been named this year’s winners of the Idaho Department of Education’s annual holiday card contest.

Each year, Idaho Department of Education staff vote to select a winner for each grade level as well as two overall winners from grades K-6 and grades 7-12. The two winning pieces are then featured on the department’s holiday cards and the artists receive cards for their own personal use.
