Interim Certificate Completers

This application is for individuals who have completed all the requirements for their three (3)-year interim certificate including those who hold a Content Specialist, Non-Traditional or an Out-of-State Interim Certificate and are now seeking their five (5)-year renewable certificate.

How to Apply

To apply for an Interim Certificate Completer, you must submit an application packet with all required documents and fees.

Important: All required documents must be included in one packet for an application to be considered complete.

Required documents and Fees
  • Completed and signed Idaho Educator Certification Application packet
  • Application fee of $75.00
    • Checks and money orders are to be made payable to the Idaho Department of Education
    • Credit and debit cards are accepted for walk-in applications only
    • Payment is non-refundable
    • Cash in the exact amount will be accepted for walk-ins only
Documentation of Completion of Interim Requirements

See your interim certificate for conditions and provide the appropriate supporting documentation, this may include transcripts, Institutional Recommendation, test scores, etc.

Idaho Comprehensive Literacy Course/Assessment
The Idaho Comprehensive Literacy Course (ICLC) is offered through university providers at a variety of venues throughout Idaho. The Idaho Comprehensive Literacy requirement can be fulfilled by completing and passing an in-person or online course, or by successful completion of the Idaho Comprehensive Literacy Assessment. Mathematical Thinking for Instruction/Teaching Mathematical Thinking
The Mathematical Thinking for Instruction (MTI)/Teaching Mathematical Thinking (TMT) is a three-credit course that gives Idaho teachers and administrators the best practices and teaching strategies they need to help all students succeed in math.
