
Substance Misuse Prevention
The Idaho Department of Education partners with other state agencies, including the Idaho State Police, Idaho Public Television, and the Office of Drug Policy, to provide substance misuse prevention resources and education for students and families. The department also offers small grants to support school and community events that raise awareness about the risks of drug and alcohol use.
These activities are made possible through the Idaho Millennium Fund and together, these they help keep communities safe, improve education outcomes, and support students in thriving academically now and growing into healthy, successful adults.

Office of Drug Policy

The Idaho Office of Drug Policy leads Idaho’s drug and substance abuse policy and prevention efforts by developing and implementing strategic action plans and collaborative partnerships to reduce drug and substance abuse and related consequences. They maintain a comprehensive list evidence-based trainings and house extensive substance misuse data.
Be the Parents
Be the Parents is a campaign of the Idaho Office of Drug Policy (ODP) that works to prevent and reduce underage drinking in Idaho. They help Idaho parents understand the risks of underage drinking and how to prevent it, and where to go for help if they need it.
