The Advanced Opportunities Conference is focused on equipping secondary and post-secondary educators with the most current best practices surrounding academic advising, student readiness, and career/college program expansion as students are encouraged to pursue their passion beyond high school. This effort is aligned with the State Board of Education’s goal for 60% of Idahoans to attain a postsecondary degree or certificate.
Conference Goals:
- Equip participants to leverage local and national tools and best practices available to broaden access to post-secondary education
- Provide participants with resources to maximize their effectiveness in post-secondary planning for students
- Expand participants’ rolodex of ‘lifelines’ for career and academic advising and program utilization
