After a very competitive, four-week challenge, Idaho is the winner of the 2013 Think Through Math State Showdown! Evening and weekend time logged by Idaho students helped put the overall state score at 125,000 points, versus West Virginia's 85,000 points.
The Most Valuable Player (MVP) State Showdown Classes for Teamwork this year were Ms. Rush's 5th grade class at Morningside Elementary School in Twin Falls and Ms. Orr's 4th grade class at River Valley Elementary School in Meridian.
The Most Valuable Player (MVP) State Showdown Classes for Evening and Weekend Points this year were Ms. Ehrsam's 3rd grade Advanced Learning Program class at Ramsey Elementary School in Coeur d'Alene and Mrs. Freed's 5th grade class at Rolling Hills Charter School in Meridian.
The winners were selected by random drawing from those who qualified in the bonus rounds and will receive a class party, banner to hang in their classroom, and t-shirts.
