The State Department of Education will be hosting training sessions in September for schools and districts identified for improvement planning for the 2013-2014 school year. Whether districts and schools are just getting started or updating existing improvement plans, the School Improvement Fall Tour will provide a full day "hands-on" work session moving leadership teams from compliance to quality for all plan types (Continuous Improvement, Rapid Improvement, and School Turnaround Planning).
Objectives of Fall Tour:
The School Improvement Fall Tour is designed to assist leadership teams. We encourage district leadership teams to attend, as well as 2-4 members from school leadership teams for those required to submit continuous, rapid or turnaround plans. Please note at least one district level decision maker must be present with school teams. We ask that you assign one person from your district as a contact person for this event, and that they handle registration for the entire team. An event agenda will be sent to registered participants closer to the event date.
