Idaho Core Standards Communications Toolkit
The Idaho State Department of Education has created the Idaho Core Standards Communications Toolkit for local school districts and public charter schools. The goal of the Toolkit is to assist superintendents, principals, teachers and other school district officials in communicating to parents and patrons at the local level about the Idaho Core Standards, why Idaho adopted them, and how they will be implemented at the local level. Please use the contents of the Communications Toolkit as a starting point for:
- Hosting a community meeting or parent night about the Idaho Core Standards
- Encouraging the teachers in your school to speak with parents about how classrooms might be different next year
- Communicating with local members of the media
- Getting factual information out to your parents and patrons
Please note: Every item in the Communications Toolkit is meant to be reviewed and tailored by the local school or district prior to presentation or distribution.
