The trainings listed below are intended to help educators become more familiar with Schoolnet—both how to access it and how to use its resources. Each session is limited to 40 participants. (One session from each of the different offerings will be archived). The sessions will be led by Jodie Mills and Jeff Coe. Interested teachers may register for a training session below by clicking the “Register” link next to the session you would like to attend.
ISEE Phase 2 is an Instructional Management System that is now available to every public school district and public charter school in the state. It is a tool to help teachers and districts across Idaho deliver data-driven instruction by offering student-level data, streamlined reporting, and instructional materials. It has two main components. ISEE is Idaho’s statewide longitudinal data system that collects student achievement, enrollment and other critical data from school districts across the state. Schoolnet is the Instructional Management System that utilizes data from ISEE to provide a more robust learning environment in every classroom. Every teacher, principal and school staff member has the ability to access and use Schoolnet, with permission from the local school district. (See the Schoolnet Registration article in this newsletter to register).
Schoolnet currently contains Idaho Content Standards—including the newly adopted Common Core State Standards in mathematics and English language arts—and the deconstructed standards so teachers have the ability to develop lesson plans and access digital content in a web-based environment where they can share these plans with each other. With full implementation of Schoolnet over the next three years, every teacher also will have access to tools to build assessments based on these lesson plans. Six pilot districts across Idaho currently have access to the assessment-planning tools. Through Schoolnet teachers can also see detailed student-level data in a digital backpack, and access Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each subject area, reports for school and district-level reporting, and the instructional standards and materials.
Superintendent and Administrator Information Sessions:
Overview sessions are intended to inform key district leaders about what they can expect from the implementation and training of ISEE Phase 2. Five informational sessions will be delivered to superintendents and administrators from districts across Idaho beginning in mid-November. The schedule below lists the dates, times, and registration links for these sessions.
End-User Online Training:
Once your district has submitted data to ISEE, you're ready to be trained. Eight sessions (one per week) will be delivered from mid-November through January, and users from any district submitting data to ISEE are welcome to attend. These sessions have limited spaces available and will be focused on four basic state-wide objectives:
The schedule below lists the dates, times, and registration links for these sessions.
After completing this online training, users will be eligible to participate in the second phase of training, which will focus on how to turn the ISEE Phase 2 system around in your school or district.
Schoolnet is the leader in data-driven education software for public schools across the country. This Instructional Management System was overwhelmingly chosen for Idaho schools by a selection committee made up of key educational stakeholder groups.
If your data is not visible in ISEE Phase 2, it could be because the data hasn't been loaded.
