Five Easy Ways to Celebrate Digital Learning Day

Digital Learning Day celebrates teachers and shines a spotlight on successful instructional practice and effective technology use in classrooms across the country. Last year's inaugural Digital Learning Day boasted tens of thousands of teachers representing nearly two million students.

This year's second annual Digital Learning Day will be celebrated on February 6, 2013. Join in on the fun! Participation is free and easy. Over the next month, Idaho will enjoy ongoing activities, ideas, and collaboration opportunities in the lead up to Digital Learning Day. Here are five easy ways you can be a part of celebration:

  1. Register your school in the national event.
  2. Follow the local and national conversation throughout the day on February 6 on Twitter– #DLDay and #IdahoDLDay– and on Superintendent Luna's Facebook page.
  3. Enter your classroom into the Idaho Digital Learning Day Awards program. Awards range from $300 to $1,200 in several categories. Learn more.
  4. Explore Schoolnet and familiarize yourself with the many resources it provides.
  5. Try blended learning in your classroom!
