EduStat 2012

The Idaho State Department of Education and Schoolnet have partnered to bring you the 2012 EduStat Conference, Idaho's first educator conference focused on increasing student achievement through a 21st Century, technology-rich, and data-driven practice.

EduStat is a two-day professional development conference that will bring together educators from around the state and will offer hands-on experience to put strategies and new ideas for technology integration and data-driven decision making into action to improve educational practices.

The theme of the conference is "Flip: Education Turned Upside Down."

EduStat will be held June 26-27, 2012 in Boise. The conference is open to any educator in the state who wants to attend. Registration is only $30 for individuals, $125 for groups of 5-10, or $225 for groups of 11-20. More information, including how to register and program details, is available at Continuing education credits will be made available for interested attendees. If you are unable to attend, portions of the conference will be streamed live online.

Prior to the conference, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a webinar with Heidi Hayes Jacobs, a recognized educator who specializes in 21st century curriculum and learning, and Sir Michael Barber, former advisor to UK Prime Minister Tony Blair.

The two-day program will feature Idaho teachers and nationally recognized speakers, such as Adora Svitak, Aaron Sams, Jeff Mao, and Greg Green. Educators from Idaho and across the nation will present case studies on data-driven instructional practices; integrating technology into curriculum, professional development, and classroom management; assessment literacy; digital content uses; and teacher effectiveness. Finally, conference attendees will participate in collaborative group activities throughout the conference to help them draw connections between the speakers/case studies, state initiatives, and possibilities for implementing change in their districts.
