The Idaho State Department of Education (SDE) has assembled a new back-to-school electronic resource for educators and administrators as we enter our second year of Idaho's education reforms—the 2012 Back-to-School Teacher Toolkit.
Within the pages of this interactive PDF, you will find instructions and tutorial videos on how to register for Idaho's new learning management system, Schoolnet. The toolkit also features an explanation of some of Schoolnet's most compelling and powerful new features, including immediate access to student data, a full suite of digital content from Discovery Education, and a new tool for professional development planning.
Note that the student and teacher data in Schoolnet is informed by district ISEE uploads. Schoolnet reflects that which is provided by districts.
We have also included additional resources we hope you will find helpful as you return to school—from information on some of our education partners to district technology resources.
We worked hard to keep each section short, rarely more than a page, and we hope this packet will serve as a useful and accessible tool for you and your educators as you begin the new school year.
Find the toolkit by clicking on the "2012 Back-to-School Teacher Toolkit" button on the bottom of the www.studentscomefirst.org home page, or link directly to the Teacher Toolkit here:
Best of luck this school year! If you have questions or need clarification on items within this toolkit, please contact me:
