Certificate/Credential for Out-of-State Applicants
This application packet is intended for those individuals who have a current, valid certificate/credential/license in another state OR for those who have completed an NCATE-approved teacher preparation program but are not currently certificated.
Initial Certificate/Credential for Interim Certificate Completers
This application packet is intended for those individuals who have completed all the requirements for their 3-year interim certificate and are now seeking their 5-year renewable initial Idaho certificate/credential (i.e., out-of state candidates who have completed their three (3)-year interim requirements, ABTCE interim certificate completers and individuals seeking the postsecondary certificate).
Initial Certificate/Credential for Idaho Graduates
This application packet is intended for those individuals who have completed a teacher preparation program at an Idaho college/university and are seeking their initial Idaho certificate/credential. CHECK WITH YOUR UNIVERSITY/COLLEGE PRIOR TO APPLICATION.
Postsecondary Specialist Certificate Application Guideline
This application packet is intended for those individuals who hold a master's degree or higher in the content area being taught and are employed as a current faculty member from an accredited Idaho postsecondary institution. Separation from the employing university shall invalidate the certificate.
Interim Certificate/Credential for ABCTE Applicants
This application packet is intended for those individuals who have completed all of the ABCTE requirements and have received an ABCTE passport to teaching/certificate.
Certificate/Credential for Educators Trained in Foreign Institutions
This application packet is intended for those individuals applying for a certificate/credential in Idaho who have completed a teacher preparation program in another country.
