Broadband Infrastructure Improvement Grant (BIIG)
Senate Bill 1034a, the Broadband Infrastructure Improvement Grant (BIIG), was signed by Governor Otter on March 20th, 2017 and is effective immediately. For more detail please see the Resource Files below.
The Broadband Program is responsible for reimbursing eligible Idaho K-12 school districts and public charter schools for the after E-rate discount portion of the cost of eligible broadband services. These reimbursements are distributed quarterly to advance districts the funds to pay for broadband.
Technical support is also available for the interactive videoconferencing (IVC) systems which are used to share courses between schools.
